# Typography.

> veridive uses three free typefaces: Funnel Display for headlines and the wordmark, Funnel Sans for body text and JetBrains Mono for uppercase labels. This chapter gives their weights, tracking, leading and fluid type scale, explains how they pair, shows full Turkish support and sets three rules for the name, the slogan and headline full stops.

Three typefaces, three jobs: Funnel Display for headlines, Funnel Sans for reading, JetBrains Mono for labels. All three are free under the SIL Open Font License, and all three cover Turkish.

## Funnel Display, for headlines

Headlines, large numbers and the wordmark. The family is variable from 300 to 800; we use 380 for display headlines, 420–460 for smaller headings and 600 for the wordmark. Tracking runs from −0.012em on small headings to −0.052em on the largest, and leading from 0.88 on the largest sizes to 1.2 on small headings.

## Funnel Sans, for reading

Body text, leads, buttons and forms: 400 for text, 380 for leads, 600 for buttons and bold. Text is 16–18 px with a leading of 1.58, leads 18–23 px with 1.45, and lines hold at most about 70 characters.

## JetBrains Mono, for labels

Labels, eyebrows, figure captions, indices and counts. Always uppercase, tracking +0.12em, weight 450, at 11.5–12 px, with tabular figures for counts and tables.

## Pairing and scale

Funnel Display and Funnel Sans are one family in two cuts: Display is drawn for large sizes, Sans for reading. They never compete, so a page needs no other typeface. JetBrains Mono is the counterpoint: small, uppercase and spaced out, it labels, counts and captions, and it never carries a sentence of body text.

Every size grows with the screen, from a phone to a large display:

| Style | Size |
|---|---|
| Hero | 53–198 px |
| Display 1 | 44–114 px |
| Display 2 | 34–74 px |
| Display 3 | 23–35 px |
| Display 4 | 19–25 px |
| Lead | 18–23 px |
| Body | 16–18 px |
| Label | 11.5–12 px |

## Turkish

All three families cover Turkish: ç, ğ, ı, İ, ö, ş and ü, in both cases. Mark Turkish text as Turkish so that uppercase labels follow Turkish rules: i becomes İ, and ı becomes I. They are different letters, and a wrong capital changes the word.

## Three rules

1. Keep the name lowercase inside uppercase labels. On the web, the name sits in its own span that switches the uppercasing off. A label never capitalizes the name.
2. Write the slogan exactly: Applied AI. Human Momentum. Two sentences, a capital M, a full stop after each. In uppercase settings it reads APPLIED AI. HUMAN MOMENTUM. It stays in English on Turkish pages.
3. End every headline with a full stop in Signal. The dot closes the sentence and carries the accent. A question keeps its question mark, in Signal too.

## Get the fonts

Install the three families for documents and slides; all three are on Google Fonts (fonts.google.com), and Google Slides has them built in. Without them, PowerPoint and Keynote fall back to a system font such as Arial. On the web we host the fonts ourselves, so no page asks a third party for them. Email signatures use Arial, because email programs don’t load web fonts; the logo keeps the brand typeface. The fallback stack is Funnel Sans, then system-ui, then Arial.
