02 Where it works · Supply chain intelligence
veridive brings order, inventory and supplier signals together so planners can focus on the exceptions that need judgment.
Illustrative application. Your workflow, data and goals shape the solution.
02Supply chain intelligence
Supply chain intelligence means using AI to bring order, inventory and supplier signals into one view, so planners spend their time on exceptions instead of data entry. veridive builds systems that extract supplier confirmations, detect mismatches and delay risks, and suggest actions, while planners approve replenishment and every external commitment.
In a typical manufacturer or distributor, supplier confirmations arrive by email and PDF, each in its own format, and planners re-type dates and quantities into the plan. Stock records, open orders and shipping updates live in different systems and spreadsheets. By the time a delay becomes visible, there are fewer options to fix it, and the ones left cost more.
02.1 Use cases
Dates, quantities and prices read from each confirmation and checked against the open order.
Orders at risk flagged early, with the reason and the evidence behind the alert.
A single list of what needs a planner’s judgment today, ordered by impact.
Answers about stock, orders and suppliers in plain language, with a source for every figure.
On-time and accuracy patterns summarized for the weekly purchasing meeting.
Supplier confirmations make a good first choice: frequent, bounded and easy to measure.
Record how long confirmations take to process today and how often dates or quantities are wrong.
Extract and check live confirmations without writing to the plan, and compare the results with the planners’ work.
Move to approved writes only when accuracy meets the threshold agreed at the start.
Questions
We don’t recommend it for a first project. In the systems we design, AI prepares replenishment suggestions and planners approve them, and every external commitment to a supplier needs a person. Once the suggestions have a measured track record, some low-value, reversible actions can be automated within limits the owner sets.
Yes, those are typical starting points. Planning often runs on an ERP such as SAP, Logo or Microsoft Dynamics, plus spreadsheets and email, and we connect to what is there rather than replacing it. We start read-only, validate in a sandbox and write back to the ERP only after approval.
